The newest Las Vegas Attraction, the Skywalk at Grand Canyon West is a destination that is owned and operated by the Hualapai Tribe that own nearly a million acres of the West rim of the Grand Canyon. They have constructed a 6,000 square foot, three story Visitor Center (underground) at the entrance to Grand Canyon West’s Eagle Point.

The visitor’s center contains a museum, movie theater, VIP Lounge, gift shop, several restaurants and bars. There is the high-end Skywalk Café’ with outdoor patio seating plus rooftop seating overlooking the edge of the canyon. Facilities will soon be available for special events, and weddings.

The Skywalk itself is an amazing engineering feat, a glass floor and railings require that you wear their supplied “booties” to protect the glass floor, and prevent slipping. And, yes it is completely safe! Enormous amounts of testing went into the construction process to withstand weight, wind and even earthquakes. (See “Construction” on their info. Website.)

Las Vegas Discount has numerous tours to the Grand Canyon via Helicopter Tours, Bus Tours, and many variations and locations. We are currently negotiating Tours from your Hotel to Skywalk and back, so please... bookmark ...this site for future information.

The Skywalk at Grand Canyon West is located about 2 ½ hours , 121 miles South of Las Vegas, Nevada (in Arizona) mostly through desert country and the last 14 miles are not paved roads, but very accessable and well maintained, so come prepared. If you plan on driving there are good directions on the Skywalk website. We highly recommend our Vegas Vacation favorite, a Helicopter Tour on our Las Vegas Tours page.

A very informative website has been created that has lots of Photos, Videos, Construction details, Directions, Package options with prices, Adventure tours and lots more. Plus, a section on the wonderful Hualapai Nation.
